A very sculptural and futuristic-looking firearm with innovative investment-cast aluminum frame construction. Thirteen thousand were made in a production run that ran from 1956 till 1958. Robert Hillberg designed guns and mounts on the P47 Thunderbolt and continued with the company High Standard after the war. He then partnered with Howard Johnson and applied his aluminum design experience into manufacturing this pistol. It was an advanced design, patents below.
