1986 GSXR 750 Limited Edition

Loud clutches save lives! The GSXR was a revolution at the time, a sub-400 lb dry weight and over 100 hp. The Limited Edition weighed even less. The differences between this and the regular GSXR 750 were a dry clutch, close ratio transmission and a solo seat. Shoulda bought one when I could...

My teenage dreambike! I still have the factory brochure. I was there when a local headbanger got a speeding ticket one night on his new LTD. He lit up the (Twin!!) headlights so we could read the ticket. Ya, it made an impression...He got a good deal on it; Moto International in Montreal couldn't move the LTD edition though stock GSXRs sold well. There surely are faster machines on the road today, but I still want one of these.

In 1988 I had a chance at one that had been crashed, minus the front forks for a grand. I was in school with not enough cash.... They have continued to appreciate, always slightly ahead of my discretionary cash level.
