Martin Marlin

The Marlin was designed for antisubmarine warfare and served with the Navy from 1954 till 1967. The gull-wings kept the engines and propellers out of the spray and the long tailed hull provided stability in rough takeoffs and landings. 285 were built. One example remains- on display at the Naval Aviation Museum. We need more seaplanes!
