Jaguar E Type

Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, Jaguar, Jaguar Cars, 1990
The E-Type was introduced in Geneva and at the New York Automobile Show in  March 1961 to rave reviews. Both convertible and hardtop versions were shown at the time, the hardtop version being capable of 150 mph.  Enzo Ferrari labelled it the most beautiful car in the world. A 2+2 verion was introduced in 1966
The engine was the DOHC six till 1971, when it acquired the new V12. The car was discontinued in 1975, largely a victim of the 5 mph bumper laws introduced in 1974 in the US.
